Donald Trump?

At some point, we will ALL really have to raise the question on how we came to this situation.

Donald Trump, the official candidate of the Republicans, and possible next US President.

I have no idea if he will win the election, but even if he doesn't, I say, there is something terribly wrong -somewhere- in our society. And we ALL have to seriously think about all of this.

Decades of a disappointing political class. Not surprising that some are turning toward something "different" (be careful, I am not saying "better"😉

To me, it's the proof of the failing of our Educational system. Only uneducated people, can adhere and be convinced by the speeches of Trump.

In large part, I agree with this. But I also blame parents(yes, I know there are many, many fine examples of parenthood, so please don't take offense). We had a generation of parents who failed to nurture their children as they should have. In the 1970s, we had awesome teachers, who taught us how to empathize and care for one another. We knew how to read. We knew how to write. We were taught about art and music from different ages and the history of different countries.

Now, I know a lot of the failure of schools to properly teach is because over the past several decades, the government has robbed billions from education, and it is this--this lack of a proper, well-rounded, and caring- education, that has resulted in adults who are badly educated, bigoted, and scared to death of their own shadows.

A quarter of our budget goes to so-called defense. Why in God's name would any country sink that disgusting amount into the fine art of death? We have taken books out of the hands of children and given them rifles instead. Don't we have a name for countries like this?

People think less and less, they just need to see ONE good reason to vote for someone. They do not take the time to weigh the pros and cons.

This is different, but that's what happened in the United Kingdom, with the Brexit. There were real reasons to leave the Europe Union, but there were many more benefits than disadvantages to stay. Now, lot of people regret not having taken the time to consider the question in its whole. I hope the same thing does not happen in the USA.

You're saying that over 17 million people didn't use the months prior to the UK referendum to think about how to use their vote? Unless you can provide evidence to furnish you're allegations then that is a massively arrogant statement. Which people regret exactly? lets have some facts & figures please. Also, what benefits were there many more of? The bleeding of sovereign powers to unelected & unaccountable bureaucrats in Brussels? The loss of the right to control ones own borders and refuse admittance to those who present a threat to the security of the said nation and its peoples?,The stream of finances flooding out of the UK (and France & Germany)to prop up floundering economies such as Greece, Ireland, Spain et all? The lack of accountability of the faceless, money grabbing EU civil servants, or maybe being forced to trade with the rest of the world with one arm tied behind ones back? The UK will be a much more civilised, democratic and prosperous place once it extricates itself from this horrible, failed, fascist institution and rejoins the rest of the world to trade freely and openly. To understand the EU and it's aims, i urge you to do a little homework and study it's inner workings. The Lisbon treaty and the subsequent contempt shown by the upper echelons of the EU hierarchy for the people of Ireland and their vote on said treaty is as good a place to start as any.

Having a man such as Donald Trump be on the threshold of becoming President of the United States is a testament of how low we have become morally. It's no accident, home values declined, school discipline is non-existent and government weakness related to leadership is sorely lacking.

I think you are pointing the finger in the wrong directions. Forgive me if I did not understand you, but you seem to be saying that we need to beat our children in school and ban gays? Plus you are claiming that our President is weak. How so?

Blame education, both in school and at home. Get some nerve and blame parents, for being lazy and uncaring, for not nurturing their young, so that we didn't end up with millions of created psychopaths, who have NO empathy for any other living thing.

I think beating children is evil and that is how you end up with a generation of men and boys who think nothing of killing innocents.

Our president is very strong--the problem is with millions of racist, scared citizens who didn't have the courage to blame Prince George, when that animal and his cronies destroyed this country, feasted on it, and then abandoned it! People didn't dare say anything because they were still deeply traumatized by 9/11, and they let scum run the country and empty the coffers.

It's saddening to hear someone blame gays and say we need more "discipline"(aka beating) to be--what? Kinder? Stronger? I'm baffled.

And what do you consider to be "moral"? Attacking gay families, beating children, attacking your president because his Blackness scares you?

Yes, Trump is a pig, but you are attacking the most vulnerable of our society, instead of having the guts to go after the greedy, white, patriarchal males who almost gutted our nation!

You described the real problem in a few sentences meanwhile others fill whole books and try to get rich. Ironic isn't it!?
If there was a president for the entire planet I would definitely vote for you.
We need more of your kind people who are not only intelligent enough to see the real villain but also brave enough to point at him.
We don't have to love Hillary Clinton but understand how important a female president is...
All the girls out there need to see that there is more to live than bleeding and breeding.
F*ck Great Britain and f*ck the monarchy!
We need to get rid of all the parasites so human kind can move to a better place.

So here we are !

"The American Dream" = "Everything is possible in the USA", and here is the proof.

To me all this is the fault of Hilary Clinton and her avidity for the power and the pursuit of a personal ambition. I wish one day we get a woman as President of the USA, but being a woman, is not a sufficient argument. President Obama is black, but not only, he had other arguments and a background to deserve his election.

Technically, she was the one with the best and most experience. And why is it wrong for her to have "personal ambition"? All the male candidates had plenty of personal ambition. Hillary was not only the strongest person of the bunch, but her platforms were good, and the work she has done in the past for this country was excellent(unless you don't believe working on behalf of women and children and working for health insurance for all people is bad. Yes, she has been doing this for most of her adult life.)

Total BS. OBama will go down in history as the worst president ever. The man that did the most to try to destroy this once great country(along with Wilson and FDR). Hopefully this marks the end of the progressive, socialists in this country. God Bless America and DJT. Time to change school system and get rid of the brainwashing pigs running them.

What is done is done. We have to deal with it. Trump is so versatile, that no one can predict what kind of President he'll be, in fact, I doubt anyone can predict anything anymore. So only time will tell. Also, don't forget that he is not alone, there will be like 2 or 3,000 persons in his administration plus the Congressmen and Senators. So if he wants to do totally dumb things, they won't let him, and in the opposite, if Congressmen and Senators wants to do things too different from what he wants he won't let them do either. So I don't think the World will collapse as some said, just things will be different. Only God knows.

In all events, I bet Donald Trump will be impeached before the end of his mandate. It wouldn't surprise me if it happens very soon, may be before next summer. Republicans are certainly already scheduling this, and just waiting for the first opportunity to fire him.

Me -again,

Now, I worry that as long as Trump will remain President, our country will be shook by manifestations over and over, which risk degenerating into violence, like in France, last spring.
