Is School useless?

As an echo to the topic: https://witnessmyrage.com/4it5.html, I would like to rebound on the usefulness of the school. Of course, the school and the learning of all disciplines are helpful. At least, that's the theory, but is it the same in practice? I really wonder! The school teaches things to our children, but do they actually learn anything? When there is homework, they are flocking to the internet, do a couple of searches, and copy down what they find, without even paying attention. They are more interested and busy with social networks, than by the classrooms. They mind more about what is said online, than what teachers are telling them. Orthography, I do not even speak about it! It's getting worse. So, is school becoming useless? And what are the consequences for the future? At the time of the visualization of the World, will kids also have virtual knowledge?

You wouldn't be able to even post such a silly topic unless you had gone to school. Do you really think you could have taught yourself to read and write? I doubt it. Whenever I hear someone whining about school, I am disgusted. Reading, writing and math is just basic. There is also arts, humanities, civics and of course, learning to socialize. All you have to do is your homework. The teachers do all of the "heavy lifting". After that, your life is easy. Stop complaining.

I do not think school is useless. However, I do believe that it should focus much more on the basis, to ensure all kids can read, write, and count. Also, school is made to develop social links, so, like in the old times, we should have classrooms to teach kids civility, politeness, respect,... Additionally, I think that kids should be taught first aid.

Just to say that School is also contributing to the socializing of kids, and the learning of living together.

What I do regret, is that, nowadays, Schools value much more Student-athletes, than the others. If you are good in a sport, you'll be favored. Isn't it shocking?

The teachers have to make it easy ,, or the little darlings will be traumatized.. Also -- No child left behind "MEANS" The child couldn't understand the 3rd grade ,, But they have to go to the 4th grade.. So Now ,, By the time they get into their senior year ,, They are still trying to figure out what happened in the 3rd grade..

School is not enough, but without schools this would be worse. Parents need to have an active part in the education of their kids.

All is about the quality of the teachers, and their motivation. During my schooling, I've had some teachers who were so amazing, you could tell they were passionate by their subject, and loving to share and exchange. In the other hand, I also had a couple which were terrible. I don't want to be mean, but for example, when I started learning Spanish, I loved it and was very interested, then 2 years later, I had a different teacher who totally ruined my enjoyment in learning at the point I dropped it.
