France to forbid fashion models who are too thin

France is in process of adopting a law, which is forbidding anyone to employ fashion models who are too thin, both for runways, as well as in fashion magazines. Also, the law is planning on forcing a mentioning if photos are retouched with Photoshop. The official goal is to fight anorexia, and the image that these skinny models are touching teenaged girls who are seeing in them an ideal goal to reach. If you don't respect such laws, it would result in prison time and fines.

What are your thoughts? Good idea? Bad idea? Hypocrisy?

"We" (France) keep making announcements like this, but in reality nothing changes...

I sort of noticed this. France keeps setting new standards for models who have a higher BMI, but then I notice the models are still anorexic🙂

Honestly, I think all of us should just stop picking on the women!

I have to agree with guest here. I'm sort of getting irked that it is the models, the young women, who are being punished and harassed, not the fashioned designers, not the MEN. Leave the women alone. They are already under tremendous pressure already.
