So far, every single century was the theater of wars between countries.
After WWII, the International community said it had to end, but there was the war of Vietnam, and all kind of conflicts here and there.
The creation of the United Nations was supposed to be a guarantee that Nations will team together, and stop fighting each others.
With the fall of the Wall of Berlin, it was said it was the end of all these instabilities, and the beginning of a new peaceful World.
The 21st Century was said to be the beginning of a new era, the first time in History, with a World without wars, were countries will be engaged into an irreversible friendly relationship and moving forward together.
All these were positive and great moves to end centuries of deadly wars, which exterminated millions, may be billions of human beings.
Is this Utopia over?
Europe is in peace now, and there is no reason it changes for a while. (hope so)
However, now, you have Syria, as well as the endless conflict between Israel and Palestinian territories. Russia has began showing its muscles again. And of course, North Korea, with their crazy "President" who challenges everybody, and Trump who is ready to take up the challenge...
What is Russia and the International community can't make their mind about Syria?
What if one day, Russian's soldiers get accidentally killed during a bombing by US forces there?
What if North Korea starts shooting its missiles toward Japan, or the USA ?
What if India and Pakistan begin a war ?
There is obviously a cliffhanger at the four corners of the World.
My worry is that History repeats, and that a global conflict would rise again very soon.
What's your thoughts?
